Home crap home

Standard

I left Mexico a week early, arriving home the day before the recent violence  erupted. I wasn’t in the affected area so I doubt it would have impacted me. But the problems at my house caused by my propane tank being turned off were snowballing.

The list is long of everything that was/is broken, ruined and needing to be replaced, not the least of which is my furnace. My son Max has dubbed it ‘The Great Flood of 26’. And while it was brutal to come home to house trauma, it could have been a lot worse. It could have been people trauma! Getting the house sorted is grim work, but it’s just stuff. Expensive, stressful stuff, yes.. but still, just stuff.

The kitchen ceiling drywall down

With the exception of my few weeks in Mexico, which were lovely, this year’s misadventures have been a twisty road full of pot holes deep enough to swallow me whole. It happens that way sometimes, but fortunately, not often.

Take good care and I’ll see you on the flip side. Or maybe in the blueberry field on a sunny, beautiful day. I’d love that! Thanks for reading!
