I walked across the Friensdship Bridge to Myanmar for a day with a temporary visa.
It was noticeably poorer than Thailand but I saw some beautiful temples and wall murals. They were a different style than what I have seen so far.
The food was different as well – not as sweet and sour and more chick peas. Also delicious – just different. I would have liked to spend more time there but a day was the most I could get with the temporary visa. You can see why the food is so spicy.
Lovely pictures. I hope that you are feeling better.
Thanks Erin. I am feeling great again. Leaving for a meditation retreat tomorrow. Really looking forward to it. Xo
Awesome pics! Glad you are back on your feet. Ugh. A meditation retreat in Thailand sounds amazing! XOXO
Thanks ! I’m pretty excited about the retreat ! And I found an amazing place tonight to stay right in the shadow of the temple. I am like a den mother. All the kids are my kids age. It’s hilarious. 🙂
Love the adventure. I’m having fun reading along.
Thanks Jo. I’m so happy your reading along and enjoying it. Xo
Yummmm….I would love it all I bet. Xo
